Britain is ready to allocate $3 million to Ukraine to investigate war crimes

The U.K. government has announced a new support package of 2.5 million pounds (about $3 million) to help Ukraine investigate war crimes, Sky News reported.

The package will be used to help Ukraine's Prosecutor General's Office (PGO) investigate crimes, in particular sexual violence. The money will be provided as part of the United Kingdom's support for the Advisory Group on Violent Crimes in partnership with the EU and the United States.

According to Ms. Melinda Simmons, the British ambassador to Ukraine, the Russian military must answer for its brutality.

"I am pleased that the UK's expertise and funding will help the Attorney General's Office expose these crimes and bring those responsible to justice," she said.
