Russia admits the possibility of extending gas transit through Ukraine after 2024, if there is still demand in Europe and the Ukrainian gas transportation system continues to work.
The Russian Foreign Ministry's press service said in a commentary to RIA-Novosti.
"A possible future rejection of Russian gas by Europe would also mean the end of transit through Ukraine and deprive Kyiv of income from it," the ministry said in a statement.
