On July 6, PrivatBank has sharply increased the dollar and euro exchange rate for card transactions. The dollar rose from 32.79 to 35.46 hryvnia, the euro - from 33.67 to 36.63 hryvnia.

According to the message, PrivatBank sets the market exchange rate for non-cash transactions. First of all, it concerns conversion rates on cards: cash withdrawals and transfers in hryvnia in Ukraine from currency cards, as well as all kinds of transactions abroad in currency with the use of hryvnia cards.

 

"The bank establishes unified currency exchange rates for card payments and the purchase and sale of cash currency in its branches based on the market situation, regulatory documents of the regulator, maintaining the integrity of the market and on the interests of its customers," the bank said.

 

As a reminder, after the beginning of the Russian invasion in Ukraine currency restrictions were introduced. This led to a multiplicity of rates, which are valid for both citizens and imports of goods.

 

Ukrainian banks have set different rates for currency exchange in Ukraine and for card transactions, which is mainly valid for payment for goods and services and cash withdrawals abroad. At the end of June, the cash exchange rate was higher by almost 10%. In particular, in PrivatBank cash: 35,30 UAH/USD - purchase, 35,60 UAH/USD - sale. By cards: 29,25 UAH / dollar - purchase, 32,79 UAH / dollar - sale.

 

In addition, on July, 6 Monobank has sharply increased the selling rate of dollar and euro by card transactions. The dollar rose from UAH 32.70 to 35.18, the euro - from UAH 33.60 to 35.99.
