Kyivstar's failure affects Privatbank's ATMs and terminals

The failure of Kyivstar mobile operator affects the operation of some terminals and ATMs of Privatbank, but not the entire network. This was reported by the bank's press secretary Oleh Serha in a comment to hromadske.

He noted that some of all banks, ATMs and POS-terminals of Privatbank work on mobile cards.

"That is, there is a mobile card in the POS terminal. For those terminals that work on Kyivstar mobile cards, of course, this problem affects their operation," he said.

A number of ATMs also use mobile communication, but the maximum percentage of ATMs in Privatbank's network that use Kyivstar services is up to 5%.

"This has hardly affected the ATM network. We believe that the maximum risk is up to 5%. Some of the networks may be affected, but not all of them," Serha summarized.
