The success of the Ukrainian military near Kherson cannot be called a counterattack. The Ukrainian Armed Forces still lack weapons for large-scale counterattacks.

The head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security and Defense Oleksandr Zavitnevich said.

"I would not say that this is a counterattack, because the amount of weapons that we have received does not allow us to say that we are really ready. In military terms, a counteroffensive is the recapture of more territory than there 5-8 kilometers," he explained.

Zavitnevich called the AFU's successes in this direction tactical things. At the same time for the Ukrainian defenders the main task remains the liberation of all territories.

Also the head of the parliamentary committee commented on the rapid advance of Russian troops in the south of Ukraine. According to him, the investigation is already working on this issue.

"Indeed, the speed (advancement, - ed.) is impressive, but it is also explained. There are several bypasses from the Crimean peninsula, in addition to those routes that everyone is talking about. But, of course, there are questions, and now there are already criminal cases. There is the mystery of the investigation, no one is trampling on this issue," he added.
