Ukrainian defenders are advancing in the Kherson region, causing the occupiers to hit the southern regions of our country mercilessly. With its behavior, the enemy shows that it is afraid of a successful counterattack by the AFU.
This is reported by the head of the press center of the security and defense forces of the UC "South" Natalia Gumenyuk.
According to her, the actions of our fighters in the Kherson direction is now quite successful.
"The Russian occupants are having a very hard time. The enemy has built a powerful defense in the Kherson region, but we are advancing," Gumenyuk said.
She stressed that the Russian military has already spent considerable forces to build the second and third lines of defense in the temporarily occupied territories of the region and, in doing so, they are forced to use the reserve ones, as even from them the AFU is pushing the enemy out.
According to the head of the press center of the security and defense forces of the UC "South", the Russian Federation is shelling with artillery and missiles the territories that our fighters have just liberated or those that were not under occupation in order to psychologically pressure the Ukrainians in this way.
"They want to prove that they haven't fled anywhere, but have long arms, and can reach those who haven't yet seen them with their own eyes," Gumenyuk explains.
She also warned that right now there are no reports on what settlements the AFU has managed to liberate, but they are advancing.
"When we gain a foothold in these lines, we will definitely report this. However, while the military operation is underway, I urge everyone to remain calm and wait for official reports, because only the military knows where they are, where they are going and what successes they have," Gumenyuk stressed.
