NATO does not expect retaliation from Russia due to the US decision to provide Ukraine with modern weapons. Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said this in an interview with CNN.
"No, I do not assume that, because NATO allies and it is NATO, by supporting Ukraine, are helping it to defend its right to self-defense enshrined in the UN Charter," Stoltenberg said.
NATO sees no change in Russia's nuclear posture and recalls that any use of nuclear weapons would completely change the nature of the conflict.
