The former head of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine Oleksandr Tupitskyi, accused in Ukraine of a number of criminal offenses, is announced in the international wanted list, according to the Office of the Prosecutor General.
"At the request of prosecutors of the Office of the Prosecutor General, the Podolsky district court of Kiev on May 27, 2022 announced the former head of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine, accused of committing a number of criminal offenses against justice," - said in a message of the Office of the Prosecutor General in the telegram channel on Friday.
As noted in the prosecutor's office, the corresponding application was made by prosecutors in connection with the systematic evasion of the accused from the court.
"It was established that on March 17, 2022, the accused, not having legal grounds to leave Ukraine under martial law ... without passing border and customs control, crossed the state border of Ukraine in the area of the checkpoint "Kosino" in Zakarpattia region, and is now in the territory of the Republic of Austria," - stressed in the message.
According to the prosecutor's office, these circumstances are the subject of a pre-trial investigation in a separate criminal proceeding.
The prosecutor's office reminds that the bill of indictment against the former head of the CC was sent to the Podolsky district court of the city of Kyiv on May 25, 2021. In October 2018, the accused, acting on mercenary motives, in personal interests and in the interests of his acquaintance - the former head of the Supreme Economic Court of Ukraine, wanted by law enforcement authorities, bribed a witness.
