Russia imposed entry sanctions on commanders of the Canadian Air Force, Navy and Ground Forces

Russia imposed new sanctions against Canada, banning 26 Canadian citizens from entering the country.

 

This was reported by the Russian Foreign Ministry.

 

"In response to the new anti-Russian sanctions announced by the Canadian authorities, which affected not only representatives of the leadership, military and business circles, but in some cases the next of kin of those on the blacklist, entry to Russia is permanently denied to a similar category of Canadian citizens," the statement reads.

 

In particular, the list of people banned from entering Russia included:

  • Sophie Trudeau - wife of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau;
  • Graham Bowley - husband of Deputy Prime Minister Christie Freeland;
  • Felix Marcellus - partner of Foreign Minister Melanie Joly;
  • Zenon Potichny - president of the Canadian-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and member of the Board of Directors of the World Congress of Ukrainians;
  • Marie Bountrogiani - head of the Canadian charity Help us help, former Ontario cabinet member;
  • Jocelyn Paul - commander of the Canadian Army;
  • Eric Gene Kenney - commander of the Canadian Air Force;
  • Angus Ian Topsy - commander of the Canadian Navy;
  • Paul Demaré, Jr. is head of the Board of Directors of the Quebec Power Corporation of Canada;
  • André Demaré - vice-chairman of the Board of Directors of Quebec Power Corporation of Canada;
  • Lorraine Ben - CEO of Lockheed Martin Canada;
  • Andrew Coates - manager, Lockheed Martin Canada;
  • Richard Foster - CEO and vice-president of L3Harris Technologies Canada and head of the Aerospace Industries Association of Canada (AIAC) Board of Directors;
  • Mark Parent - CEO of CAE Inc;
  • Kevin Mooney - president of Irving Shipbuilding Inc;
  • James D. Irving - CEO of Irving Shipbuilding Inc;
  • Mike Greenlee - CEO of MDA Ltd;
  • Sean Greenwood - president of Canadian UAVs;
  • Terry Manion - general manager and vice president of Raytheon - Raytheon Canada Ltd;
  • Christine Chanfarani - president and CEO of the Canadian Association of Defense and Security Industries (CADSI);
  • Kevin Ford is president and CEO of Calian Group Ltd. and head of the Canadian Association of Defense and Security Sector Enterprises (CADSI) Board of Directors;
  • Mike Mueller is president and CEO of the Aerospace Industries Association of Canada (AIAC);
  • Douglas Harrison is head of the Board of Directors of the Canadian Commercial Corporation (CCC);
  • Robert Kwon is president and CEO of the Canadian Commercial Corporation (CCC);
  • James Davies - President, CEO and co-owner of Chantier Davie Canada Inc;
  • Steven Mathieu is president of Maritime Launch Services, the organizer and general contractor for the Canada-Ukraine spaceport in Nova Scotia.
