Russian military officer accused of murdering a resident of Sumy region, pleaded guilty in court and is ready to testify

On Wednesday, the Solomyanskiy District Court of Kyiv began to consider the merits of the case against Russian serviceman Vadim Shyshimarin for the murder of a civilian in the Sumy region.

 

During the trial, prosecutors announced the indictment, after which the court asked Shishimarin whether he understood what he was accused of and whether he pleaded guilty, to which the Russian serviceman answered in the affirmative. Also, answering the questions of the court, he added that he did not refuse to testify.

 

During the hearing the participants of the trial spoke, the court also decided on the order of examination of the evidence: to question the victims, the defendant, then the witnesses, to examine the written evidence of the prosecution.

 

The next court session is scheduled for 12:00 on 19 May.

 

As reported, Shishimarin is the first Russian serviceman whose case has already been heard in court.

 

During the trial, the defendant will be in custody.
