226 children have already died in Ukraine because of the Russian Federation's war against Ukraine, the Office of the Prosecutor General reported.
"As of the morning of May 9, 2022, more than 641 children have suffered in Ukraine as a result of the full-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation. At the same time, according to official data, 226 children were killed and more than 415 wounded," the report said.
According to the prosecutor's office, the most affected children were in the Donetsk region - 139, Kyiv region - 116, Kharkiv region - 99, Chernihiv region - 68, Kherson region - 46, Mykolaiv region - 44, Luhansk region - 44, Zaporizhzhia region - 28, Sumy region - 17, in Kyiv - 16, Zhitomyr region - 15.
Since work is underway to establish the number of victims in places of active combat operations, in the temporarily occupied and liberated territories, these figures will be updated.
