Pentagon: Russia has fired missiles at Ukraine 1,900 times since the invasion began

The U.S. Department of Defense said that Russia launched more than 1,900 missile launches against Ukraine in 63 days of war. A Pentagon official said this at a briefing the day before.

"On the 63rd day, we can report that there have been over 1,900 missile launches since the start of the invasion. Most of the missile launches and frankly, aircraft strikes in Ukraine are still in Mariupol and in the area of the United Forces operation, mostly in the Donbas," the official said.

According to him, there are now 92 operational battalion-tactical groups of occupants on Ukrainian territory.

"That's more than the last time we had a chance to talk to you. We would estimate that Russian forces are operating slowly and unevenly, and frankly, we would characterize that as gradual progress in the Donbas...," the official said.

On March 29, the Pentagon reported that Russian occupants fired more than 1,370 missiles against Ukraine.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Russia had already fired most of its missile arsenal into Ukraine. At the same time, he stressed that Russia still had enough missiles to launch more strikes against Ukrainian cities and terrorize civilians.
