Russia has launched "a total of more than 160 missiles for air strikes" against Ukraine, a senior U.S. Defense Department official told reporters Thursday. This was reported by CNN.
According to the official, most of the missiles are "short-range ballistic missiles," but the total number of airstrikes "includes a combination of cruise and medium-range missiles."
Right now, according to the official, the U.S. does not see "advancing deep or further west" of Russian forces.
Note that 57 Ukrainians were killed and another 169 were wounded on the first day of Russia's full-scale military invasion.
