10 Russian occupants who tortured civilians in Bucha (Kyiv region) have been declared suspected of cruel treatment of civilians and violation of the laws and customs of war.
Prosecutor General Iryna Venediktova announced this on her Facebook page.
According to the prosecutor, the first 10 servicemen of the 64th separate motorized rifle brigade of the Russian Army were declared suspicious.
Here is the list of these persons:
Junior Sergeant Vyacheslav Lavrentyev
Private Grigory Naryshkin
Private Vasily Knyazev
Corporal Semyon Maltsev
Private Sergei Peskarev
Private Albert Radnaev
Corporal Mikhail Kashin
Corporal Andrey Bizyaev
Corporal Dmitry Sergienko
Sergeant Nikita Akimov
According to the investigation, during the occupation of Bucha, these individuals took civilians hostage, put them on their knees with their hands tied and their eyes taped, abused and beat them.
"People were beaten out of information about the location of the AFU and the Terror Defense Forces, some were tortured for no reason at all. Russian servicemen threatened to kill and even simulated the execution of their captives by shooting in their direction. There is evidence that, of course, these soldiers of the world's first marauding army also robbed the local population, taking personal belongings and 'trophy' household appliances," said Iryna Venediktova.
