The European Union will provide new emergency funding for Ukraine, European Commission Vice President and European Trade Commissioner Valdis Dombrovskis said on Twitter.

"We must do 'even more' to support Ukraine. The EU will provide new emergency funding," Dombrovskis said.

The deputy chairman of the European Commission, moreover, stressed that Ukraine needs more weapons to defend itself and win this war.

"We are developing new sanctions against Russia," the vice president added.

Dombrovskis noted that it is necessary to create a solidarity trust fund, the purpose of which would be to rebuild Ukraine after the war.
