The number of refugees from Ukraine during the war exceeds 5.2 million - UN

Already more than 5.2 million Ukrainians have left their homeland since the war began in late February. This is the data shared by the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).

According to the UNHCR, 5,232,014 people have already left Ukraine.

Most of the refugees have left for Poland (more than 2.9 million) and Romania (777.6 thousand).

Hungary took almost 493 thousand people, Moldova - nearly 434 thousand people, Slovakia - nearly 355.6 thousand people.

Ministry of Social Policy informs that there is information about 3.4 million people in the Unified Information Database on Internally Displaced Persons. Of these, more than 2 million people have registered as internally displaced persons since the introduction of martial law. And 1.9 million of them were internally displaced for the first time.
