U.S. President Joseph Biden intends to appoint Bridgette Brink as U.S. ambassador to Ukraine.
"President Biden today announced his intention to nominate veteran U.S. diplomat Brigitte A. Brink as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Ukraine," the White House website reported Monday.
The president's intention to nominate Brink to the post was announced by Secretary of State Anthony Blinken during an April 24 visit to Ukraine.
Brigitte Brink is now ambassador to Slovakia and was also, among other things, senior adviser and assistant secretary of the State Department's Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs, focusing on Eastern Europe and the Caucasus.The president's intention to offer Brink to the post was announced by Secretary of State Anthony Blinken during a visit to Ukraine on April 24.
