The Russian invaders are placing military equipment on private farmsteads and gardens of Melitopol residents. This was stated by the Mayor of Melitopol Ivan Fedorov during a national telethon.

"In the gardens, in the yards of our residents the occupants place their equipment. This is how they want to hide their soldiers behind the backs of civilians," Fedorov said.

He recalled that today Melitopol already has four Russian military bases: one at the airfield, the rest - on the territory of enterprises.

"Melitopol is a very compact city, and all industrial enterprises are in close proximity to residential buildings. The military aviation itself is 200 meters away from residential buildings," he specified.

The mayor added that despite the occupation, the city is resisting and, according to the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, about 100 occupiers have already been destroyed.

"The occupiers are trying to find at least someone, but they can't, because the whole of Melitopol is against them," Fedorov said.
