President of the European Council Charles Michel has arrived in Kyiv, as he himself announced on Twitter.
"Today in Kyiv. In the heart of a free and democratic Europe," Michel noted.
This is not the first visit of European leaders to Kyiv since the liberation of the region from Russian occupiers in early April.
On April 18, Ukraine sent Brussels the first part of the questionnaire concerning EU membership.
Ukraine intends to complete the second part of the EU questionnaire by early May.
Ukraine is expected to receive candidate status in June during a planned European Council meeting attended by leaders of EU member states.
