The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces told about the operational situation on the fronts at the beginning of the 56th day of Russia's war against Ukraine. The enemy is trying to continue offensive actions in the Eastern operating zone in order to establish full control over the territory of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

The occupiers also do not stop rocket and bomb attacks on military and civilian infrastructure throughout Ukraine.
In the Volyn and Polessk directions the enemy did not conduct active operations. The threat of missile and bomb attacks by Russian aviation against facilities in Ukraine using the territory, airfield network, and airspace of the Republic of Belarus remains.
Certain units of the armed forces of the Republic of Belarus continue to perform tasks to cover the Ukrainian-Belarusian border in Brest and Gomel regions. They carry out engineering equipment of positions and observation posts.
No signs of the enemy's formation of a strike force for resumption of offensive operations have been detected in the Seversk direction. The protection of the section of the Ukrainian-Russian border in this direction is carried out by the enemy in enhanced mode.
Engineering equipment of strongholds in the areas bordering Ukraine continues.
In the Slobozhansky direction, the occupants are regrouping and resupplying. They also continue to partially blockade Kharkiv and shell the city.
In the Izyum direction, the enemy attempted an offensive in the direction of Suligovka, Dubravnoye. The Russian military is attempting to conduct aerial reconnaissance of offensive directions using Orlan-10 drones.
In the Donetsk and Tavrichesk directions, the Russian occupants continue to shell the advanced positions of our troops and search for weaknesses in the defense along the entire line of contact.
Fighting continues in the areas of Kremenna, Torskoye and Zelena Dolyna settlements. The enemy is regrouping for the purpose of further offensive in the direction of Liman settlement.
The enemy is attempting to launch an offensive to advance deeper into the village of Popasna. After the Russian occupants attempted an assault in Rubizhne and Severodonetsk, about 130 wounded enemy soldiers were taken to the local hospital in Novoaidar settlement. The exact number of wounded is still being specified.
In the Donetsk direction, the enemy conducted assault actions near the settlement of Marinka.
The main efforts of the occupants are focused on the capture of the city of Mariupol. Russian troops continue their assault actions near the Azovstal plant.
The enemy conducts combat operations in the area of Velyka Novoselka, Ravnopol and Storozhevoye settlements. Also continues to carry out logistical support of troops.
In the Yuzhnobugsk direction, the enemy concentrates its main efforts on holding the occupied lines, and carries out shelling of the positions of our troops.
It is expected that in the future, the Russian occupants will continue to exercise fire influence on the positions of our troops and conduct combat operations in order to reach the administrative borders of the Kherson region.
Due to heavy losses, the occupants withdrew a battalion tactical group of the 237th Tank Regiment of the 3rd Motorized Rifle Division of the 20th All-Arms Army of the Western Military District from the Kharkiv Region to its permanent deployment point (Soloti settlement of the Belgorod Region) to restore its combat efficiency.
In the territory of Donetsk and Luhansk regions in the past 24 hours 10 attacks of Russian occupants were repelled, 12 tanks, 28 units of armored and two units of vehicles and one artillery system were destroyed.
The group of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine during the previous day hit 9 air targets: one aircraft, one helicopter, six UAVs of different types and a cruise missile.
