On Tuesday, April 19, the fifth prisoner exchange took place since the start of the full-scale war. Ukraine managed to return 60 servicemen, 10 of whom were officers and 16 civilians.
This was announced by the Deputy Prime Minister - Minister for the reintegration of the occupied territories Iryna Vereshchuk.
"Today we exchanged 60 servicemen, including 10 officers. Also 16 civilians are returning home. This was the fifth exchange of prisoners. A total of 76 people," she wrote on Facebook.
Recall, the fourth exchange of prisoners with Russia took place on Thursday, April 14. Then Ukraine returned 30 people, including 8 civilians. On the same day it was reported that the exchange of prisoners of war was held in the Kherson region. In the area of the village of Posad-Pokrovskoye, four Russian military prisoners were exchanged for five of ours.
