Ukraine would be happy to receive U.S. President Joe Biden, and his new personal meeting with Ukrainian Head of State Volodymyr Zelensky could pave the way for new supplies of American arms. This was stated by Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba on the air of CBS News.
Kuleba noted that since the beginning of the new wave of Russian aggression against Ukraine, President Biden has shown true leadership in helping our country and mobilizing the international community to support Ukraine.
"So of course we would love to see him in our country, and that would be an important signal of support for us. And, of course, a face-to-face meeting between the two presidents could pave the way for new supplies and arms - American arms to Ukraine, and also to discuss a political - a possible political resolution to this conflict," the secretary said.
The White House said last week that the Biden administration was not yet preparing a visit by the U.S. president to Ukraine.
