Electricity tariffs for Ukrainian households consuming up to 250 kWh per month will not increase and will also be 1.44 UAH per kWh at least for the next six months, President Volodymyr Zelensky said in a video message.

According to the website of the head of state on Friday, energy issues were discussed at a meeting with officials.

"We continue for at least the next six months the electricity tariff of 1 hryvnia 44 kopecks per kilowatt for those who consume less than 250 kilowatts. This is 80% of our citizens", - said Zelensky.

Also, he said, the meeting reviewed the results of the current heating season. "The season was carried out successfully, no matter what. Despite all the "vanguishing," the rates have not risen. There were no rolling blackouts. Supply was not disrupted even during wartime. We also began preparations for the next heating season. We have discussed the purchase of gas and the purchase of coal," the president said.
