According to Mayor Ivan Fedorov, public activists are kidnapped by the Russians in order to record a video with them before May 9.
Since March 1, during the occupation of Melitopol, the invaders kidnapped more than 100 people.
This was reported by Mayor Ivan Fedorov during a telethon.
"I believe that kidnapping today is the main reason why people are leaving the occupied territories today. They can be kidnapped from their homes, from the street without any explanation, and this is already done systematically. In the city of Melitopol, more than 100 people were kidnapped during the occupation. Some were held for a few hours, some for several days. There are examples when people were held for more than a month. For example, the head of the Melitopol district council, Serhiy Prim, has been held captive for more than a month," Fedorov said.
According to him, public activists are kidnapped by the Kafirs in order to record a video with them before May 9.
"They are kidnapping activists en masse today because they need to record a video before May 9, how during these 8 years of war in Ukraine, activists have allegedly mocked veterans, and they record these videos at gunpoint in the cold... The activist is shaking from the cold, from fear, and they wrote on a sheet what he has to say," Fedorov said.
He also noted that the city wants to make children learn poems and songs before May 9.
"Before May 9 they are preparing to make hostages of our children, whom they are now trying to force to go to school, and already from Monday they want to open a music school, where our children want to make them learn some poems, what songs before May 9, but I am sure that before May 9 they will not be in our occupied territories," he added.
