Russian missiles destroyed a power substation in Lviv, damaged infrastructure in Zaporizhzhia and Dnipro

During Russia's morning attack on Ukraine, 8 out of 14 missiles were shot down in Lviv region, but a power substation in Lviv was destroyed and windows in three dozen buildings were smashed. There were also hits to infrastructure facilities in Zaporizhzhia and Dnipro and to warehouses in Myrhorod. This was stated by Maksym Kozytskyi, head of Lviv RMA, Serhiy Lysak, head of Dnipropetrovsk RMA, Ivan Fedorov, head of Zaporizhzhia RMA, and Philip Pronin, head of Poltava RMA.

"Lviv is recovering from a difficult morning. During the air alert, which lasted from 05:01 to 07:10, 14 enemy missiles entered the area of responsibility of the "West" Air Command, which protects the sky over eight regions in the west of Ukraine. Our air defense soldiers shot down 8 of them. Unfortunately, there are strikes. In particular, in our region," said Kozytskyi.

A power substation in Lviv was hit. This caused a fire on an area of approximately 150 square meters. It was extinguished within two hours. 29 firefighters worked on it involving 6 units of equipment. The substation was completely destroyed. The offices that were powered by it are now receiving electricity from generators. There is no information about the deaths and injuries at this facility as of this hour.

Another rocket hit the ground between residential high-rise buildings in Lviv. The blast wave smashed windows in about 30 houses on five streets. Cars parked nearby were damaged. As of 2:48 p.m., three people from these buildings had sought medical help.

In Dnipropetrovsk region, in the morning, air defense shot down two missiles over the region: they "landed" in Nikopol and Novomoskovsk districts. There were also "arrivals" in Dniprovsky district. An infrastructure facility was damaged. No one was injured.

A hit was also reported on an infrastructure facility in Zaporizhzhia. Later, the head of the RMA reported the destruction of residential buildings and 6 wounded. One of the wounded is in a serious condition in the hospital, doctors assessed the condition of three injured as "moderate," two people refused hospitalization, said Ivan Fedorov.

The hits were recorded in the industrial zone of Zaporizhzhia. The blast wave also damaged civilian buildings. The damaged civilian infrastructure is expected to be restored within a few days - the buildings need to have their windows replaced and roofs repaired.

In addition, the enemy attacked Poltava region at night. A warehouse in the Myrhorod district was hit and a fire broke out over an area of 100 square meters. There were no casualties or injuries.
