The General Staff of the AFU said that the Ukrainian military have recaptured a number of other settlements from the Russian occupants, and informed about the operational situation on the fronts at the beginning of the 42-day war.

In the Volyn direction there are no signs of the formation of offensive groups by the occupants. Certain units of the Belarusian Armed Forces continue to perform tasks to cover the section of the Ukrainian-Belarusian border.
In the Polessk direction, the occupants did not commit any active actions. Part of the enemy units, which are withdrawn from the specified direction, are on the territory of Belarus. Russian troops continue recovery measures, presumably for the purpose of their regrouping and strengthening other groups, said the General Staff.
"It is not ruled out that units of Russian troops may remain on the territory of Belarus in order to restrain the actions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces and prevent their redeployment to other directions. Another goal is to help the republic to cover part of the Belarusian-Ukrainian border," the report says.
In the Siversky direction, the restoration of the enemy's occupation units, previously withdrawn to the Bryansk and Kursk regions of the Russian Federation, continues.
On the Slobozhansky direction, the enemy continues to blockade Kharkiv and to launch artillery attacks on its separate districts.
"According to available information, losses of the 236 artillery brigade of the 20th All-Army Army amount to about 20 percent of personnel and weapons. This has significantly reduced the intensity of the brigade's actions," the General Staff pointed out.
In the Izyum direction, the Russian occupants do not abandon their intentions to create a strike grouping and continue their offensive in the direction of Slavyansk and Barvenkovo.
In the Donetsk direction, the enemy is trying to improve the tactical position of its units. It continues to conduct assault operations in the areas of Popasna, Stepnoye, Novotoshkovskoye, Rubizhne, Severodonetsk and Solodkoye. All without success.
The Rashists continue to actively use munitions prohibited by international humanitarian law. They do not abandon their attempts to storm Mariupol. The defenders of the city continue to hold a heroic defense, holding back the superior forces of the occupier's units.
In the Tavricheskiy direction, in the area of Basani, the movement of separate units from the 58th Combined Arms Army was recorded, probably for the purpose of regrouping forces.
In the Yuzhnobuzhskoe direction, the enemy is taking measures to restore combat readiness and engineer positions.
"Continues terrorizing the civilian population in the temporarily occupied territories of the Kherson region," reads the report.
The enemy as a result of the offensive actions of the AFU lost control over the settlements of Dobryanka, Novovoznesenskoye and Trudolyubovka. Fighting continues in the area of Aleksandrovka.
A grouping of the AFU Air Force destroyed 8 cruise missiles during the previous day. Our aviation continued to support the ground forces of the Defense Forces and carried out air strikes against the Russian occupant forces.
