The Russian occupants are regrouping and trying to improve the tactical situation in certain directions in southern Ukraine. This is reported by the General Staff of the AFU.
The military note that the 40th day of the heroic resistance of the Ukrainian people to the Russian military invasion is continuing.
Also, the General Staff of the AFU notes that the enemy command to prepare for an offensive operation in the east of Ukraine unfolds elements of the operational construction of the offensive grouping and increases the management system.
"The occupation forces are regrouping and trying to improve the tactical situation in certain directions in southern Ukraine. The formation and relocation of additional units of the Russian Federation to participate in combat operations on the territory of Ukraine continues," the report reads.
On the Volyn direction the situation has not changed. Units of the armed forces of the RB with up to four battalion tactical groups continue to carry out tasks to cover the border.
On the Polissya direction, there is still a high probability of missile and bomb attacks on military and civil infrastructure facilities by enemy aircraft, which operate from the Belarusian airfields.
Units of the Eastern Military District and airborne troops are observed moving from the territory of Belarus to the Russian Federation. Movement of weapons, military equipment and personnel is carried out by rail and air.
According to available information, some units of the 35th Combined Arms Army (Belogorsk) and 36th Combined Arms Army (Ulan-Ude) of the Eastern Military District are stationed near Rechitsa and Yampol settlements (Gomel Region, Russia).
On the Seversk direction, the enemy completed the withdrawal of units from the Central Military District to the territory of the Kursk Region and began their further relocation.
On the Slobozhansky direction, the enemy continues to blockade Kharkiv, launches artillery attacks on the city, and regroups troops. It strengthens the anti-aircraft cover of important objects near Belgorod and areas of troop concentration in the Kharkiv direction.
To clarify the positions of Ukrainian Armed Forces units, the enemy conducts reconnaissance near the village of Barvenkovo using UAVs, and also tries to restore the bridge over the Seversky Donets River near the town of Izyum. Near the locality of Brazhkovka, forces in a tank company tactical group, the enemy conducted reconnaissance battle, had no success, withdrew to the previously occupied lines.
There remains a high probability of air and missile strikes against civilian objects in Kharkiv, and preparations are underway for an offensive in the direction of Slavyansk.
In the Donetsk and Tavrichesk directions, the main efforts of the enemy are concentrated in the areas of Rubezhnoye and Popasna, preparations for an offensive on Severodonetsk, and gaining full control over the city of Mariupol. The enemy launched eight air strikes against it today, and street battles continue.
At the same time, the enemy is completing regrouping and replacing units that have lost their offensive capabilities in order to resume active offensive operations.
In the Yuzhnobuzhskoe direction our troops are pushing back the occupants in the Kherson region. The enemy conducted aerial reconnaissance near Nikolaev using UAVs.
In the Black Sea and Azov operational zones, the activity of the enemy's ship group in the Black Sea is reduced due to difficult weather conditions (storm up to 4 points). The remaining enemy ship formations are performing missions in certain areas.
As a reminder, the Russian Federation lost 18,300 men, 647 tanks, 147 aircraft, 330 artillery systems and hundreds of units of other military equipment as a result of the invasion of Ukraine.
