There will be no cooperation between the city of Slavutich and the Russian occupiers, despite the fact that the enemy is close to the city. This was announced by the mayor of Slavutich Yuri Fomichev on one of the TV channels.
"We stopped at the fact that the enemy will not be in the city. We cope ourselves, despite the fact that we have occupation - Slavutych does not cooperate with the occupiers. We remain under Ukrainian flags. On the central square there is the flag of Ukraine, the Ukrainian Constitution, the Ukrainian law. And we continue to work," said the mayor.
According to Fomichev, the occupants have inspected the city for weapons and are now outside its borders, the city continues to live under the laws of Ukraine, despite the fact that it is occupied.
He added that now the city is waiting for a counterattack by our military so that this territory can be liberated.
The mayor also commented on the situation with the victims.
"There are casualties. A heavy casualty after the explosion of stun grenades. Two people were injured. One of whom is in very serious condition. Doctors are fighting for his life and hope he pulls through. We also have war casualties. Two more people have died. And the TrO guy at the roadblock also died on the first day from severe wounds. These are the losses of Slavutich. This is just the horror of what is happening in peaceful cities. Once again, there are no AFU forces in Slavutich. We defended ourselves solely with the forces of the TrO and with the means that we had," the mayor stressed.
On March 26, Slavutich Mayor Yury Fomichev was kidnapped by Russian occupants. He was released on the same day.
On March 26, a peaceful rally in support of Ukraine was held in the city. The townspeople unfurled a large national flag.
It is known that the occupants opened fire in the air and threw stun grenades.
