As reported by local residents, at 09:00 many residents came to the square of the city, and after about 40 minutes the shooting began.
"The situation in Slavutich has become more complicated. Enemy troops and equipment are already in town! The residents of Slavutich came out to the action for Ukraine," the text of the message reads.
At the same time, a column of tanks and infantry of the occupants are standing under the city, firing at the roadblocks around the city. Some houses in Slavutich are also "hit" by the blast wave - breaking windows and destroying roofs.
Eyewitnesses report that Yuri Fomichev, the mayor of Slavutichy, has been released.
He has already addressed the people.
