In Volyn, the main efforts of the defence forces are concentrated on covering the state border.
In Sivershchina, a defensive operation continues. A group of troops holds the town of Chernigov and holds back the enemy's advance towards Kyiv.
Defenders of Kiev continue to repel the invaders' attack, inflicting fire on them and steadily holding all the defined defense lines.
In the South, the defense operation in the defined operational zone continues, the stabilization operation is also carried out, and the tasks of terror defense are carried out.
"Russian terrorist troops continue to conduct combat actions, deliberately violating the norms of international humanitarian law and the rules of warfare," the General Staff noted.
During the previous day, the AFU repelled 9 enemy attacks, destroyed 12 tanks, about 20 units of armored and automotive equipment and 9 artillery systems. Losses of the occupants in manpower amounted to more than 200 soldiers.
Ukrainian air defense units shot down two enemy aircraft and two UAVs.
During the previous day 6 enemy air targets were hit by the group of the Air Forces of the AFU: 1 plane, 1 UAV and 4 cruise missiles. Our aviation patrolled the airspace, provided fighter cover for troops and facilities, and attack aviation fired on armored convoys, logistics centers and accumulations of enemy troops.
