German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said that European sanctions against Russia should not be a short-term measure, but a longer-term scenario. The most effective, in his opinion, would be a ban on the sale of hydrocarbons by Russia. This is reported by the BBC.
"Europe, together with its friends, has imposed sanctions unprecedented in their harshness against such a great country. And you can see that they have an impact," Scholz said at a press conference in Berlin.
He also added that the list of sanctions bans should be expanded.
