Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky signed the law on the extension of martial law in the country, reports the press service of the Verkhovna Rada.
"The President of Ukraine as of 20.03.2022 signed laws of Ukraine: the law on the approval of the presidential decree "On the extension of martial law in Ukraine" № 2119-IX (reg. № 7168)," - is indicated in the message.
On March 15, the Verkhovna Rada legislatively approved the presidential decree extending martial law in Ukraine from 5:30 a.m. on March 26 for another 30 days - until April 25.
Martial law has been in effect in Ukraine since 24 February.
