Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Ukraine should receive advanced weapons from its partners.
"As much as we can, we shoot down Russian missiles. We destroy their planes and helicopters. And this despite the fact that we do not yet have adequate anti-missile weapons. Advanced weaponry. We don't have enough combat aviation. But we have a goal, pure and fair - to protect our people, our state," he said in a video message Friday afternoon.
Zelensky recalled that "Russian troops continued their despicable shelling of our peaceful cities and communities. Lviv, Kyiv and the region, Zhytomyr region, Sumy region, Kharkiv and the region, Chernihiv, the cities of Donbas - Severodonetsk, Kramatorsk, our Mariupol... Rocket strikes, air bombs, "Grads" .
"Of course, we will continue to do everything we can. We will remind some Western leaders even louder that it will be a moral defeat for them, it will destroy their prestige if Ukraine does not get advanced weapons and really save the lives of thousands of our people. Russian missiles will not fall from shotguns, with which some are trying to substitute really useful supplies," the Ukrainian president said.
