On Friday, March 18, Oleksiy Arestovich, advisor to the head of the Office of the President, recorded a video message in which he denied information that an assault on Kiev is expected in the near future.
He specified that a Ukrainian media outlet had begun sending out information to its friends on behalf of high U.S. representatives that Kyiv was allegedly undergoing a terrible missile attack, the latest attack, on March 18.
"I have a question - what kind of world are these people in? There will be no storming of Kyiv today, tomorrow, or in the near future. It's technically impossible," Arestovich said.
He complained that "the quantity and quality of whining of some politicians has reached an unprecedented level.
Arestovich also accused former Defense Minister Anatoliy Gritsenko of starting to talk about how the current government is allegedly "giving up" the country in negotiations with Russia.
"He started telling me how to negotiate and started the old rant about Yermak giving up everything and Zelensky, named intelligence signs of treason, and I could not stand it," said the adviser to the chairman of the Provisional Government.
He specified that allegedly it was during Hrytsenko's presidency that Ukraine lost most of its armament.
Arestovich asked whether the people who take all these actions realize what their consequences are. He recalled that President Volodymyr Zelensky did not start evacuating the country, even though both Ukraine's foreign allies and his own security service asked him to do so.
"On the same day that we were waiting for the Pechersk landing party, he refused. He stood with a gun in his hand and said he was staying to defend his country. Zelensky, speaking to Italy, who is greeted with a standing ovation by the U.S. Congress, will surrender Ukraine in negotiations. Is that what you seriously think? Why are you doing this? You know that the people will give you an assessment. They are already giving it," said Oleksiy Arestovich.
He urged them to stop the scandal and calls for panic.
