The General Staff of the AFU informed about the situation in the regions at the beginning of the fourth week of the war, and what the operational situation is as of the morning of the 22nd day of the fight against the Russian occupiers.
Over the past 24 hours, the situation and the nature of the actions of the defense forces have not changed significantly. Thus, the Ukrainian Armed Forces continued to inflict serious blows on groups of enemy troops that are trying to gain a foothold and hold the defenses of the seized borders.
During the day, Ukraine's defenders destroyed the command post and support units of the 35th Combined Arms Army of the Eastern Military District of the Russian Armed Forces, the enemy's losses are being specified.
Also anti-aircraft missile forces of the Air Force and Air Defense Forces of the Army of the AFU destroyed 10 enemy air targets: 2 Su-34 fighter-bombers, 3 Su-34SM fighters, 3 helicopters and UAVs of the operational-tactical level.
Information about the type of another downed aircraft and the deaths of the pilots is being specified, the General Staff added.
The enemy continues to launch missile and bomb attacks on infrastructure and densely populated areas of Ukrainian cities.
"The Russian occupiers also continue to act insidiously in the information space - they carry out cyberattacks, physically destroy TV and radio repeaters, and continue a massive information campaign to discredit Ukraine's top military and political leadership and the Defense Forces," the report said.
The General Staff said that Russian troops continue to suffer losses. There are big problems with the staffing of combat and support units.
"The enemy personnel are demoralized, which has led to an increase in the number of desertions and refusals of the Russian Armed Forces to participate in the war in Ukraine," the report said.
Earlier, it was reported that according to the Pentagon, three-quarters of the battalion and tactical groups of Russia were involved in Ukraine.
