The first twenty-four hours of heroic resistance by the Ukrainian people to the Russian military invasion have begun. The Armed Forces of Ukraine have managed to inflict crushing blows on the groups of occupant troops on the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine and, in some directions, to launch a counteroffensive. This is reported by the General Staff of the AFU.
According to the results of the previous day, due to the actions of the air defense of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, three aircraft were destroyed (two of them Su-34s).
In addition, one helicopter, three operational-tactical UAVs and two cruise missiles were shot down.
Air Force aviation continued to launch missile and bomb strikes on ground targets. Nine airstrikes were carried out against convoys of equipment and accumulations of occupying troops.
The occupying forces continue to launch missile and bomb strikes against infrastructure and densely populated areas of Ukrainian cities.
The enemy continues to suffer casualties.
The main efforts of the occupiers are concentrated on consolidating and holding the previously occupied lines and defense areas.
