Russia may use chemical or biological weapons in Ukraine in a "false flag" operation. This was reported by the UK Ministry of Defense on March 14 on Twitter, citing British intelligence data.
It is noted that Russian accusations that Ukraine allegedly intends to use biological or chemical weapons continue.
British intelligence stressed that they did not see any evidence of this claim by Russia. At the same time, in relation to the aggressor state, there are such suspicions.
"A Russian operation using chemical or biological weapons 'under another's flag' could look like a fake attack, a step-by-step 'unmasking' of agents or munitions or alleged planning by Ukrainians to use such weapons," the intelligence said.
