Russia is developing biological weapons - State Department

The Russian Federation continues to develop biological weapons in violation of the Biological Weapons Convention. This was announced on Tuesday, March 14, by a representative of the US State Department, Ned Price, at a briefing.

"The United States believes that Russia continues to support an offensive biological weapons program in violation of its obligations under the Biological Weapons Convention," said a representative of the US State Department.

He also noted that Russia is trying in every possible way to divert attention from itself in this matter.

According to Ned Price, Russian propagandists have been promoting false information about the so-called "biological weapons laboratories" on the territory of Ukraine for many years. This is how the Kremlin tries to justify its military aggression.

For this purpose, Kremlin-controlled mass media, information sites related to Russian intelligence, and so-called experts are involved.

"These entities are working together to continuously flood the media with false narratives to create the illusion of a large number of voices repeating each other," Price said.

The UN has already rejected Russia's accusations regarding the activities of US biolaboratories in Ukraine.
