The U.S. warned Russia: If you shoot at NATO territory, the bloc will respond "with all its might"

US Presidential National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan warned that if Russia fires at NATO territory, the bloc will respond with all its might. It is reported by Sky News.

In particular, Sullivan said, a shot on North Atlantic Alliance territory would trigger NATO Article 5, under which an attack on one ally of the bloc would be considered an attack on all allies.

"If there is a military attack on NATO territory it will trigger Article 5, and we will engage the full force of the NATO alliance in response. All I will say is that if Russia attacks, shells, takes a shot at NATO territory, the NATO alliance will respond to that," he said.

Recall that today Russian troops carried out air strikes on the Yavoriv training ground in the Lviv region. The range is 20 kilometers from the border with Poland, which is a member of NATO.
