Ukrainian mobile operators Kyivstar, Vodafone Ukraine and lifecell have implemented an opportunity to use mobile Internet in national roaming.
According to a joint statement by the companies on Sunday, subscribers can now use not only voice calls and SMS, but also mobile 2G/3G Internet at speeds of up to 512 kbit/s to exchange messages in messengers or search for information on the Internet.
National roaming allows one operator to connect to another operator's network when the connection is lost.
"At the moment, the availability of mobile Internet is no less important than calls, because it allows you to stay in touch with your loved ones online and check the latest news. In this case, the billing of services in national roaming remains in accordance with the tariff plan of the operator, whose services the subscriber uses," - was underlined in the message.
For lifecell subscribers roaming works automatically. If connection to the network of another operator doesn't occur - it's necessary to make manual settings.
Subscribers of "Kyivstar" and "Vodafone Ukraine" may use this option, by performing manual settings on a smartphone and turning off the auto network selection.
As noted in the message, in case of failure to register, it is necessary to try again or choose another network.
It is also important for subscribers to try to return (connect) to their operator's network manually or by enabling auto network selection every day.
