According to Ukrainian intelligence, the Russian Federation is working on two variants of nuclear blackmail that can be implemented in Ukraine. The main goal is to intimidate the world with nuclear explosions.

"We have information about the development of two options. Which of them they will choose, it depends only on them. The first is large-scale burning of radioactive forests, a radioactive cloud will rise at once and go in the direction where the wind blows. The second would be the use of artillery on the nuclear storage facility. The result will be the same," noted Kirill Budanov, head of the military intelligence service.
According to him, in any case, the Russian leadership plans to blame Ukraine for the catastrophe. At the same time, he stressed that this is not the first time Moscow resorts to nuclear blackmail. In particular, there have been the shelling of units of the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant, as well as a missile strike on the Kharkov Institute of Physics and Technology, where there is an experimental nuclear reactor.
"This is all a purpose of intimidation. Now the Russian leadership understands that their plans for a quick campaign have failed, and they are moving on to nuclear blackmail," Budanov added.
As a reminder, yesterday it became known that Russian occupiers bombed a nuclear research facility in Kharkov.
