In Kharkiv over the past 24 hours there were no breakthroughs and incursions of the Russian occupants, Izyum is under siege by the enemy, but the city has been defended. This was reported by the chairman of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration Oleg Sinegubov on Tuesday, March 8.
"The enemy has slowed down its offensive actions, having realized that attempts to capture Kharkiv are useless. We hold our positions. There have been no breakthroughs and measures of the enemy's combat units and its subversive and reconnaissance groups into the city over the past 24 hours," Sinegubov indicated in a Telegram message about the situation in the Kharkiv region.
"A difficult situation in the city of Izyum. Russian troops tried to seize the city, we defended. But the Russian occupant continues to keep the city under siege, preventing the delivery of humanitarian goods and the evacuation of the population there," the chairman of the OSA added.
Today will try to send humanitarian cargoes to Balakleya, Izyum, Liptsy, which are the most critical directions.
"Regarding the evacuation. We continue the insurance process, only "Ukrzaliznytsia" evacuated more than 600 thousand people", - said the chairman of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration.
He stressed that the Ukrainian military receive new weapons and replenishment of personnel.
Meanwhile, the Russian occupants continue their offensive operation, but the pace of their troops' advance has significantly slowed, the Ukrainian Armed Forces General Staff pointed out.
