Zelensky urged Ukrainians to go on the offensive

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky that the resistance of Ukrainians in the temporarily occupied territories gives confidence that the Ukrainian state will be rebuilt.

"We will all rebuild our state together ... This confidence is fueled by the energy of our resistance, our protest," Zelensky said in an evening video message Saturday.

"Freedom Square in Kherson is all of Ukraine. The streets of Konotop, where the locals shout at the occupiers - this is Ukraine. It's a special heroism to protest when your city is occupied. Even if temporarily," he added.

According to Zelensky, Ukrainians do not retreat, do not surrender, do not stop resisting.

"They are shouting to the occupiers - go home," the president said.

He urged people living in the temporarily occupied territories "to go on the offensive, go to the streets, fight."

"We have to go out and chase this evil out of our cities," Zelensky summarized.
