President Volodymyr Zelensky, during a press conference with foreign media, urged the Kremlin head to leave Ukrainian land or sit down with him at the negotiating table.
Zelenskyy stressed that Ukraine was not threatening anyone and was not seizing anyone else's land. Asked if Ukraine was willing to give "guarantees," the president replied:
"Guarantees for what? We are not attacking and are not going to attack Russia. Are we in NATO? No. Do we have nuclear weapons? No. Who am I supposed to give what to? What do you want from us? Get off our land. If you don't want to leave now, sit down with me at the negotiating table, I'm free. Sit down with me, but not at 30 meters, like you did with Macron, Scholz-I'm a neighbor, you don't have to hold me at 30 meters! I don't bite. I'm a normal man, sit down with me, talk to me, what are you afraid of?
