Self-proclaimed Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko does not exclude the possibility of a meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky in the event of progress in the peace talks. This is reported by TASS.

"When there is progress on these issues (including demilitarization and denationalization - TASS commentary), I'm sure the two presidents will sit down, take the censer and sign these agreements - I'm telling you this the people way," Lukashenko said.

However, Dmitry Peskov, press secretary of the Russian president, believes that it is too early to talk about the possibility of a meeting between Putin and Zelensky.

"It is too early to draw such conclusions," Peskov said in response to a question about whether the Kremlin admits such a possibility.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Russia first needs a cease-fire so that it can sit down at the negotiating table.

The day before, talks between Ukraine and Russia were held on the border with Belarus. Mikhail Podolyak, adviser to the head of the Presidential Office, said that the delegations were returning to their countries for consultations.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has been fully informed, down to the last detail, of the conversation that took place yesterday between the Ukrainian and Russian delegations. Ukraine will decide on its position and then prepare for a new one.
