On February 26, the German federal government approved supplies of 400 anti-tank weapons of its own production, which are located in the Netherlands, to Ukraine. This is the first time Berlin has allowed the export of lethal weapons to Kiev.

Prior to the invasion, Germany had consistently refused to provide lethal weapons and allow German arms exports to other states.
