Ukraine has requested international assistance from NATO in case of large-scale emergencies that could threaten civilians. In particular, Kiev is asking for truck cranes, bulldozers, special radiation and chemical reconnaissance vehicles and other equipment. This was reported by the NATO website.
"The State Service of Ukraine for Emergencies is preparing for large-scale emergencies of different nature, which may affect the civilian population. In accordance with the mentioned procedures, the EADRCC (Euro-Atlantic Disaster Response Coordination Center) received a request for international assistance from Ukraine on February 15, 2022," the report said.
In the request, the Ukrainian side noted that it expects to supply 10 truck cranes with a capacity of at least 35 tons, 10 crawler bulldozers, 10 excavators, 10 tractors, 10 four-wheel drive trucks.
Also in the document Ukraine requests 70 pickup trucks, 30 off-road vehicles, 6 remote-controlled mine clearance vehicles, 31 special vehicles for radiation and chemical reconnaissance, special rescue diving stations and others.
