Ukraine and Germany are united in their position that escalation on the Ukrainian-Russian border is unsafe for Europe and the world, despite differing views on certain problems, President Volodymyr Zelensky said.

"Yes, Ukraine and Germany may have different views on certain problems, but we clearly agree that the escalation on the Ukrainian-Russian border constitutes an unprecedented and dangerous challenge for Europe and the world. Once again I was convinced of this, having held a meaningful dialogue with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz today," Zelensky wrote on his Facebook page.

The head of state noted that Scholz's visit to Kiev before visiting Moscow was a demonstration of solidarity with Ukraine. He stressed the importance of a joint vision with the head of the German government's vision of a peaceful approach.

Zelensky added that Ukraine and Germany will continue to strengthen the partnership of both countries at different levels. "I am grateful for Germany's willingness to develop renewable energy sources in Ukraine, as well as invest in other sectors," the president stressed.

Also Zelensky noted that in order to deepen cooperation it is planned to organize the fifth Ukrainian-German economic forum already in 2022. "Thank you to the Federal Republic of Germany for the immediate allocation of

Ukraine 150 million euros. Mr. Scholz, German support has been and will be very important for us," summed up the Ukrainian head of state.
