The Cabinet has allocated UAH 16.6 billion to ensure flight safety in Ukrainian airspace

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has allocated UAH 16.6 billion to guarantee uninterrupted flights over Ukraine. The decision will stabilize the air transportation market in the country. This was announced by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmygal.

 

"At an extraordinary meeting adopted changes in the use of the reserve fund of the state budget, and also allocated funds to ensure the safety of flights in Ukraine for insurance and leasing companies," wrote in Telegram Shmygal.

 

Prime Minister specified that the government has allocated 16.6 billion hryvnia to guarantee the security of flights in the airspace of Ukraine. He also added that this decision will stabilize the situation in the passenger air transport market and guarantee the return to the country of Ukrainians who are now abroad.

 

At the meeting, the government adopted the following decisions:

The Ministry of Finance was instructed to reduce budget expenditures for servicing the state debt;

to allocate to the Ministry of Infrastructure 1 6632.9 million hryvnia to stabilize the situation in the air transportation market;

grant the right to the Ministry of Infrastructure to use this money to ensure the safety of flights in Ukraine for insurance companies, reinsurance companies, leasing companies and air carriers;

The Ministry of Infrastructure is instructed to approve the list of aircraft subject to state guarantees.
