CNN reported today that the meeting between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and German Foreign Minister Annalena Berbock was allegedly canceled due to disagreements over the provision of weapons. The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry denies this.
This was reported by the spokesman of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry Oleg Nikolenko.
According to him, this information does not correspond to reality.
"No rumors, anonymous sources and conspiracy theories can drive a wedge into the strong relations between Ukraine and Germany. The claim that the meeting between the president of Ukraine and the German foreign minister did not take place to send a certain political signal is not true," RBC-Ukraine quoted Oleg Nikolenko as saying.
Nikolenko noted that today Kiev has turned into a world diplomatic center.
"President Volodymyr Zelensky has an extremely busy schedule, which in addition to the international part also includes the coordination of many important processes of the internal life of Ukraine," he said.
Recall, the TV channel CNN wrote that Germany refuses to provide military assistance to Ukraine, because of this allegedly the meeting was canceled. However, according to the official reason, the reason was a mistake in the schedule.
